Don't Fight It, You Know You Want Me

Please feel free to Signal Boost this post. Below the cut tag is shameless pimping of three beautiful cats left homeless by the death of their owner, combined with photos designed specifically to leave you helpless before the Cute, hands grasping in desperate come-hither-kitty movements.

These three are the cats of arduinna's sister, who died on Boxing Day of pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, Arduinna has her own cat with medical needs right now, and cannot bring new felines into the house at this time. Similarly, I have three in residence already, including one in end-of-life mode who will not tolerate new intruders. This means these three need re-homing, and quickly, if possible. They are located in Northern Massachusetts, and we would be willing to drive them anywhere within the state, NH, RI, ME, etc., to find them a good home.

This is Molly. Molly is fond of the sun.

Molly is somewhere between the age of 10-11, healthy, and sociable. Although not particularly a lap cat, she does like your admiration, and head pettings, and to generally hang out.

This is Katie. Katie is a looker.

Katie is between 9-10, healthy, but she started life as a stray, and is as a result, very shy. She will take time to adapt to a new home.

Katie loves Molly.

If possible, it would be nice to home Katie and Molly together, for as you can see, they comfort one another, and this would make the transition easier.

However, both would just like a home, one way or another. In Katie's case, a quieter home, with no children or other pets might be in order.

This is Romeo. Romeo LOVES you.

No really. It's all about you. He wants to cuddle with you. He wants to be held. He wants to... lick your hair. Well, let's just move on for now. At any rate, Romy, as he is known, is a PERSON CAT. Although he gets along with his sisters....

...It's really all about you. He can be re-homed on his own, or with other cats, but he's going to want your attention. Pet him right now. Romy also has some health issues. He is between 10 and 11, and he has allergies that require shots. As a result of his allergies, he has licked much of the fur off his belly and hind legs. He will require a special diet avoiding certain types of food (poultry and such - the allergy record and recommended foods are available).

And in return for your care, he will give you his DEVOTION. Even in inappropriate locations!

Have you recovered sufficient motor control yet? Good! Now find these kittehs some bling tricked out accommodations! After all, they are the Cats, and you are but their human slaves!

Feel free to contact either me, or aka_arduinna!

Cutest cat photos ever! I wish I could take them.

I'm sorry to hear about Arduinna's sister. My mother died of pancreatic cancer, and it wasn't much fun.

This has been crossposted. I live in MA and have emailed it to everyone I know who might be interested in adopting. It's also been listed at the Manor of Mixed Blessings, she gets a lot of traffic. Good luck! (Here via naamah_darling)

I posted on facebook and wrote a short message on my lj. Hopefully someone will bite, since I live in Northern Massachusetts, as well.

No repost button?

I had actually never heard of the repost button until you commented here. It looks like it was new as of this summer, and I admit I've had a hectic year where I haven't been using lj as much as I used to. I'm going to look into this to see if it's something I can add after the fact.

Here via ginmar's lj--I cross-posted to my fan lj, which gets a lot of traffic. If you haven't found homes by Sunday (since it looks like you have a couple of possibles here already), I'll post on my Facebook!

Thank you so much! I'll definitely be posting updates when we know more.

Found this via tammypierce just up there, actually. XD

Sadly, I can't take the sweeties, myself, but I'm definitely signal boosting this in hopes that some local folks may be interested (I live in MA, myself). I wish I could adopt them, though; they look so adorable and I want to give them hugs.

Unfortunately can't take any (we are only allowed 2 cats on our lease and we have them already) but I live in CT and have reposted on my FB to see if anyone up there can take them in.

northern massachusetts? (do you mean north shore?) depending on where this is, it could be relevant to b0st0n.
